A Surprise – Beauty of Singapore Woodlands Jetty

If not for our department Chinese New Year dinner, I wouldn’t know that at the very north tip of Singapore, there is such a beautiful and quiet place with a nice view! It was raining when we arrived at the place and the carpark was quite a distance from the restaurant.

With an umbrella in our hands, we walked along the jetty towards the restaurant, feeling the rain kissing our body when the wind whistled past our ears.  I was excited to see the long jetty and the overcast backdrop, and thought how nice it would be if I have my camera with me.

Then I took out my iPhone and started to compose my picture, hoping to snap this very nice scenic jetty into my photo collection.

When I came home after the dinner, I began to edit these pictures and gave a couple of them a misty look by lowering down the clarity. And to my surprise, I like them a lot!

This picture was taken during my smoke break while others were still eating. I've never been so "close" to Johor from the bank of Singapore
