English version below……
It is without doubt that human beings are looking for happiness, regardless old or young, strong or weak, man or woman.
And in our pursuit for material things to satisfy our lust, and the search for our inner soul, there is a common objective, and that is, happiness too.
But which is the right path that can really lead us to true happiness? If by having material things can make us happy, even for just a moment, isn’t that good enough?
I have been indulging myself in books relating to Buddhism, meditation, soul searching and self-enrichment (I’m not even sure if Rhonda Byrne’s series of books are considered self-enrichment or self-improvement) and found myself lost in the somewhat contradictory theories that get into my mind. This is caused by the fact that I’m practising theories from “The Magic” to reach my desire.
As I combined meditation, soul searching and Rhonda’s Magic power, I begin to let my desires swallow me up slowly and for a moment, I felt lost. Hence I attempted to find a connection between them and after much in depth thinking, I finally found some co-relation.
What Buddhism teaches is for us to be mindful in order to live in the present moment, and do not dwell into the past or future. It also teaches us the truth of sufferings and how detachment to material things can help us in getting out of sufferings.
On the contrary, Rhonda Byrne’s books – “The Secret”, “The Power”, “The Magic” attempt to tell readers that we can have what we want, whenever we want, as long as we believe and practise love and gratitude.
As for meditation and / or inner soul healing books such as Zhang De Fen’s “Getting To Know Yourself” and “Bringing Out A New Person In You” are closer related to Buddhism while her other book – “The One Who Can Realise All His Dreams” are more towards Rhonda Byrne’s “The Secret”.
At one look, these 3 types of books seem to contradict each other but as I think deeper into the lessons that are taught, I began to understand that I can put them together as one.
While Rhonda Byrne’s books are teaching readers to pursue our desires, the true message within is clearly about love and gratitude. The pre-requisite to have what we want to have is to love everything in this world and be grateful for everything that are given to us or happen to us!
When I finally put all that I read together, I can see a bigger picture, that the universe is mighty, for it seems to control everything in this world with its invincible hands. And only through mindfulness, love, gratitude, belief and letting go, then can we connect to the universe. And once we are able to connect to the universe, we will be able to have what we want, the key to our life – happiness!
Using Rhonda Byrne’s “Power” and “Magic”, we will be living life with full of love and gratitude and the moment we reach that state, it doesn’t really matter anymore whether we can have what we want, for we will be indulging ourselves in the pool of true happiness.
So if I am asked to summarize the lessons that I learned from these 3 categories of books, it will be as follows:
Understand thyself first, and once we know who we truly are and what we truly want, we will be mindful and live life at its present moment. We will live our life with full of compassion and gratitude in this imperfect world.
By doing so, and as the law of attraction says, we will attract more positive people, things and events into our lives and these will them bring us to the happiness that we are all seeking for……
